We may not be fortunate enough to have a Gilbert Scott designed, red telephone box, adorning our pavements but, our community does benefit from a number of Payphones and Postboxes. Currently some of these are in need of a little TLC.
We have contacted BT and asked for the following Payphones to be cleaned/repaired:
Argyle Street, outside the Post Office. Clean and replacement light bulb
Minerva Street and Finnieston Street Junction, opposite the Currys PC World. Repair a broken handset, clean and replacement light bulbs.
Argyle Street and Kelvingrove Street junction, near the Grove chippie. Clean and replacement light bulb.
Claremont Street and Sauchiehall Street, near the Sandyford Clinic. Clean, remove graffiti.
Yorkhill Street, near the Drug Store Social. Clean.
Minerva Street, near Printing.com. Clean
We have contacted Royal Mail and asked for the following Postboxes to be repainted:
Argyle Street and Haugh Road Junction, outside Happy Let’s. Re-paint.
Argyle Street, outside the Post Office. Removal of graffiti and re-paint.
Argyle Street, outside Brewdog. Remove stickers, graffiti and re-paint.
BT and Royal Mail assure us the work will be carried out as soon as possible. We will provide updates as we receive these.
In the meantime, if you think we have missed a Payphone or Postbox please get in touch, firstname.lastname@example.org
